Yamaha to demonstrate the power of robotic teamwork at Automatica 2022

New proposals for cooperating robots

The Yamaha Motor Robotics FA section will demonstrate industrial robots working together autonomously to increase productivity and reduce waste. The robots will be on display at booth No. 314 in Hall B5 at Automatica 2022 in Munich, from 21-24 June.

At the stand, Yamaha will demonstrate SCARA and Cartesian robots working together to speed up the glue application and bonding process. Visitors will be able to see how the coordination of multiple robots reduces production cycle times, increasing productivity while maintaining consistent quality.

Displayed with the LCMR200 linear conveyor module, the LCMR200 demonstrates flexible workpiece handling with accurate, programmable positioning. Combined with a Cartesian robot, it will show how the precision of the LCMR200 helps to simplify system design and increase throughput and efficiency.

In addition, Yamaha’s single-axis Robonity robots combine compact dimensions with high rigidity and a low centre of gravity to provide stable and space-saving solutions for transportation, feeding and general process automation. The robot’s co-operative EP-01 controller and software tools simplify robot selection, simulation and programming, and provide real-time performance monitoring. The Robonity line also includes motorless actuators that provide additional flexibility to customise system capabilities and costs.

Visitors can also learn more about the affordable and powerful YK-XE SCARA robots, which are available with arm lengths from 400 mm to 710 mm and payloads up to 10 kg. By lowering the cost of entry for advanced, flexible automation, the YK-XE series enables large and small companies to become more productive and competitive.

Yamaha robotics experts will be present at booth No. 314 in Hall B5 throughout the event to detail the demonstrations and answer visitors’ questions.
