Videos with examples of industrial robots in action
Here, we would like to show this video that contains some application examples such as transport, assembling, switching carriers, tightening screws, drilling, sealing (coating), palletizing, conveyor tracking and image processing.
Transport
High throughput assembly line
Yamaha PAS speedometer assembly (1)
Centered around the LCM100, and also including a Cartesian robot and a linear motor single-axis robot, a demo setup of the “speedometer assembly line” for the sporty model of the Yamaha PAS was shown at the 2013 International Robot Exhibition. This is a unique system that is possible only with Yamaha robots.

LCM100 linear conveyer module
This allows setup of a speedy transfer line without momentary stops.
Linear Conveyor Module LCM100
Examples of Transfer Applications
This is a video demonstrating the circulation-type transfer and passing-type transfer. They are made by combining traversers and the slider insertion/ejection function of LCM100.
Please consult with us beforehand if you are considering this application.
Linear motor robot / Cartesian robot
High-speed transfer device
This is an application using a linear motor robot capable of supporting long-distance high-speed transfer. Irregular pitch stops, random work selection, and line changes are also supported flexibly.

Dosing
Cartesian robot
Automobile component sealing equipment (1)
A dispenser nozzle is attached to the Cartesian robot (SXYX) to make the sealing process automated. Even when the workpiece deviates from its original position, the vision system “iVY” detects the deviation or inclination to automatically correct the application tracking.

Screw pump motor synchronizes with robot TCP speed
The optimal operating speed is used for straight lines and for curves, greatly contributing to shortened cycle time.
The dispensed amount is also controlled accurately, so that the same amount is dispensed even when the speed of the robot changes.
Cartesian robot
Servo sealing machine
The machine operates at the optimal speed for each region of the application path. This allows shortened takt for application operations as well as consistent quality.
Cartesian robot
Eight-axis dispensing equipment – dual lane layout
Dispensing is performed with a dual lane setup using the RCX340 controller.
While dispensing on one side, preparations can be made on the other side, allowing non-stop operation to dramatically increase productivity.
A fixed speed is maintained even if the path has complex curves.

Palletizing
Articulated robot·SCARA robot
Palletizing machine
The SCARA robot performs pick and place while vertically articulated robots execute pallet changes. Free arm movement allows complex operations.
By using this in combination with the traveling axis, inter-process transfer can be made more efficient.
SCARA robot Orbit type
High-speed palletizing equipment
The YK350TW can operate in the entire area immediately below the unit. This enables the size of the equipment to be decreased without imposing restrictions on the pallets and conveyors in the facility.
The combination of high speed (0.32 seconds standard cycle time) and high precision positioning (XY axis ± 0.01mm) together allow both quality and productivity to be improved.
Pick & Place
SCARA robot Orbit type
High-speed pick and place equipment
This is the YK500TW high-speed SCARA robot with 360° omni-directional rotation.
The ceiling-mounted mechanism and rotating arm allow efficient use of areas previously unavailable for robot mounting, and also allow high speed movement to shorten tact.

Conveyor tracking
SCARA robot
High-speed conveyor tracking
The vision camera detects the position and orientation of parts flowing on the conveyor, and the SCARA robot performs pickup.
A single controller can provide unified control of the robot, camera, lighting, and tracking.
Provides the best solution from the viewpoint of facilities
YAMAHA MOTOR offers best automation solutions to various applications with wide range of products from compact single axis to 7-axis articulate robot.
Tightening screws / Drilling
Double-arm Cartesian robot
Tightening screws & Sealing machine
This is a double-arm Cartesian robot that uses a nut-turning single-axis robot on the X-axis and allows asynchronous operation.
It provides high efficiency even when simultaneous bolt-tightening operation are required at opposing corners, such as on an engine’s cylinder head or transmission. [Cartesian robot NXY-W]

Circuit board inspection equipment – Dual drive function allows synchronized control
Using a “dual carrier” axis with two carriers placed on a single XY plane, this application uses the “dual drive function” for synchronized control of two axes.

Yamaha speaker component assembly
“Allows support for small quantities of multiple models, gradual investment in facilities, and effective utilization of facilities”
High-speed transfer is provided, and the production process is modularized. The production process can be set up beforehand in units of modules. A range of production steps can be implemented by placing modules on a base that can be expanded or contracted. Processes (modules) can also be easily exchanged.
